What you’ll do:
Successfully lead and develop the engineering/design team for a mid-sized manufacturer of material handling products and systems, with key markets including Automotive, Aerospace, Electronics, Medical and General Industry.
As part of the leadership team you will be working on strategic growth and operating plan execution. The Engineering Manager is responsible for the execution and performance of the product development and product design.
Lead design and engineering organization that works in the standard product space as well as the project systems space
Support new product development projects, ensuring they meet delivery dates, and performance requirements. Rapidly develop product design corrections when necessary to address concerns.
Provide mentorship and actively develop team members
What you should have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Product Engineering
10+ years exp in Product Engineering
4+ years exp in supervision of Product Engineering team.
Experience in engineering-to-order business environment
Minimum of 5 years previous management experience is required.
3+ years project management experience with custom engineered industrial machinery preferred
Experience with materials handling systems preferred
Experience using CAD modeling and tools for increasing product development efficiency and decreasing design cycle times
Experience in practicing and implementing Lean methodologies with measurable results is preferred.
Demonstrated core competencies of teamwork, self-development, customer focus, drive for results and integrity and trust.
Proven ability to develop products that meet customer expectations.
