National Integrated Systems is looking for a candidate to take our marketing initiatives to the next level. The Marketing Specialist will help NIS market custom material-handling products to B2B customers in the automotive, aerospace, medical, and other fields. The Marketing Specialist will work independently to write, photograph, videograph, and design social media updates, blog posts, marketing emails, e-commerce content, and print material. The Marketing Specialist will work closely with upper management to analyze marketing performance and direction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
E-commerce content creation
Social media updates
Blog posts
Marketing emails
Photography and videography of products
Creation of printable marketing materials
Work with the sales team to determine the most marketable aspects of products
Qualifications:
Strong writing ability – Correct grammar, spelling, and neutral writing style
Mechanical aptitude – Must be able to understand our products in order to effectively market them
Social media experience – Must understand the use of hashtags and appropriate content for different social media platforms
Strong time management – There is often only an hour between when a product is completely assembled to when it is packaged wherein the Marketing Specialistmust take photos/video
Artistic/creative ability – The Marketing Specialistmust be able to produce aesthetically pleasing photos and videos using basic techniques such as the rule of thirds
Independent worker –The Marketing Specialist will be working on their own with guidance from management (as opposed to being a part of a larger marketing team or department)
Technical Skills
Working knowledge of personal computer, keyboard, and various software programs
Use of various social media platforms including Facebook and Linkedin
Ability to take photos/video either via cell phone or, preferably, DSLR
At least one of the following:
Use of photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop
Use of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere
Use of print publishing software such as Adobe InDesign
Use of blogging platforms such as Squarespace preferred, but not required
Use of email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact preferred, but not required
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have reliable transportation to work.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
